Chris Bono - Subscribe Now
Chris is currently the head assistant coach at Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa. Chris is currently starting his 7th wrestling season with the Iowa State staff and his third year as head assistant coach. He is currently training for the 2008 Olympics. During 2002, he was the top 145.5 wrestler, but the US did not compete in the World Championships in Tehran, Iran.
During his college years, he attended Iowa State, earning 3 Division I All-American honors, winning one National Championship, placing second, and fifth. He currently ranks fifth on ISU’s all-time victory chart. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science.

Rob Eiter - Subscribe Now
Rob is in his third year as an assistant coach for the Wildcat wrestling team, helping the Wildcats in every aspect of the program. Prior to Northwestern, he coached as an assistant coach at Clarion University from 1993 to 1998 where he helped Sheldon Thomas to win an NCAA Championship. He also coached Clarion’s first ever four time All-American, Bryan Stout, and five others to All-American status. In 1999, Eiter coached the women’s World Championship Team.
As a wrestler, he was a member of the 1996 Olympic wrestling teams and the 1993 and 1995 World Championship teams. Eiter was a five-time US Open National Champion and two-time World Cup Silver Medalist.

Alan Fried - Subscribe Now
Alan is currently an attorney practicing law in Chicago and privately coaching high school wrestlers. Also, Alan has written a book titled, “The Arsenal.” The book is designed to help wrestlers develop a plan and allows wrestlers to track their progress towards reaching their goals.
While competing at Oklahoma State University, Alan was a three-time Division I finalist, claiming the top spot in 1994 and finishing with a career record of 129-6. He also owns two University and two Espoir (20 years and older) National Freestyle Championships and became the Espoir World Freestyle Champion in 1991, where he was voted best Technical Wrestler. During high school, Alan had a career in-season record of 139-3 and was a three-time State Champion for the national powerhouse program St Edwards in Lakewood Ohio.
Alan earned his BS in Psychology from Oklahoma State University and his Law Degree from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.

Jon McGovern - Subscribe Now
Jon is currently the head wrestling coach at the University of Dubuque, Dubuque, Iowa. Prior to joining the University of Dubuque, he was the head assistant for the University of Chicago. McGovern spent 2000 training full time for the Olympics at the Olympic Training center in Colorado Springs. He placed fourth at the Olympic Team Trials and was a 1998 US National Team member.
During his college years, he attended Central College earning a BA while earning 3 Division III All-America honors and 2 National Championships. Also, he graduated with a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Iowa.

Jeff Pape - Subscribe Now
Jeff is founder of WrestlingGear.Com, Ltd. one of the largest dealers of wrestling gear in the United States. Jeff was a state-quarter finalist for one of the nation’s winningest coaches, Charles Farina, at Leyden High School. He continued his wrestling career at the University of Illinois and earning All-Big Ten Academic honors each of the three semesters on the team. During his fourth semester, he decided to focus on academics and rehabilitating a back injury.
He has coached youth wrestling for 10 years and is a Bronze Certified Coach by USA Wrestling. Jeff is a licensed Certified Public Accountant graduating from the University of Illinois, Champaign and is pursuing a MBA in Marketing and Management in Organizations from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
